In east London on Bow Road (Tower Hamlets), Clarion Housing Group has appointed Legendre UK for the redevelopment of Lemon Tree House, a residential building originally comprising 49 homes.
The existing 7-storey building, currently comprising 49 homes, will be replaced by a new up-to-9-storey development delivering 58 social rent homes. The project will provide a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments designed to meet diverse local housing needs, while improving building and fire safety standards.
Sustainability and energy efficiency are integral to the scheme, with communal air source heat pumps planned to reduce carbon impact. Works are scheduled to begin in October 2025 following demolition and regulatory approval, with completion expected in Winter 2027.
